Quarterback:
1. Trent Green/STL vs. SF - No step-down from Warner.
2. Jeff Garcia/SF vs. STL - Rams' defense can't stop anyone.
3. Rich Gannon/OAK vs. SD - Could account for as many as four scores.
4. Peyton Manning/IND vs. DET - Detroit isn't at home and that is a good thing.
5. Daunte Culpepper/MIN vs. TAM - He's passed just about every test so far.
6. Elvis Grbac/KC vs. SEA - Seattle defense has been a huge bust.
7. Steve Beuerlein/CAR vs. ATL - Third easy matchup in a row.
8. Mark Brunell/JAX vs. DAL - All of Jacksonville's problems will be magically figured out this week.
9. Shaun King/TAM vs. MIN - He's been horrible lately, but has an easy matchup compared to most QBs.
10. Brett Favre/GB vs. MIA - Don't expect too much.
11. Charlie Batch/DET vs. IND - Played as well as you can against the Tampa Bay defense.
12. Jeff Blake/NO vs. ARI - In a week of ugly matchups, his isn't so bad.
13. Vinny Testaverde/NYJ vs. BUF - Good week for re-injury.
14. Steve McNair/TEN vs. WAS - Bad matchup.
15. Brad Johnson/WAS vs. TEN - 'Skins have rebounded.
16. Donovan McNabb/PHI vs. NYG - Giants' D can bring it.
17. Kerry Collins/NYG vs. PHI - He's been a huge disappointment.
18. Doug Flutie/BUF vs. NYJ - Jets know how to handle him.
19. Akili Smith/CIN vs. CLE - If there ever was a week to start him, this is it… and I still wouldn't start him.
20. Brock Huard/SEA vs. KC - Injured and may not play.
21. Jake Plummer/ARI vs. NO - Saints' defense is for real after all.
22. Chris Chandler/ATL vs. CAR - Carolina corners are playing well.
23. Tony Banks/BAL vs. PIT - He almost completely regressed.
24. Jay Fiedler/MIA vs. GB - Wouldn't even be a backup on a lot of teams.
25. Doug Pederson/CLE vs. CIN - If it was Couch, he'd be a top ten fantasy QB this week.
26. Kent Graham/PIT vs. BAL - Why does he keep getting chances?
Running Back:
1. Ricky Williams/NO vs. ARI – Cardinals can’t stop anybody, especially good backs.
2. Marshall Faulk/STL vs. SF – Air and land assault on the Niners.
3. Fred Taylor/JAX vs. DAL – Taylor is healthy and the Cowboys give up rushing yards.
4. Corey Dillon/CIN vs. CLE – Won’t duplicate last week’s effort, but still will be solid.
5. Emmitt Smith/DAL vs. JAX – Each week he’s looking like the old Emmitt, not an old Emmitt.
6. Tim Biakabutuka/CAR vs. ATL – Falcons are giving up nearly two running back touchdowns per week.
7. Edgerrin James/IND vs. DET – With five scores in his last two games, James has it going.
8. Charlie Garner/SF vs. STL – A poor man’s Marshall Faulk.
9. Travis Prentice/CLE vs. CIN – Runs well against bad teams.
10. Jamal Anderson/ATL vs. CAR – Jamal is getting it going, and the Panthers aren’t stopping anybody.
11. James Stewart/DET vs. IND – Don’t expect another three scores, but a good game is in store.
12. Ricky Watters/SEA vs. KC – The Chiefs don’t defend against the run real well.
13. Mike Alstott/TB vs. MN – Alstott gets it back on track.
14. Curtis Maritn/NYJ vs. BUF – Martin has been a great all-purpose back this year.
15. Ron Dayne/NYG vs. PHI – Eagles have been tough, but Dayne is starting to have an impact.
16. Stephen Davis/WAS vs. TEN – Good for a touchdown every week.
17. Robert Smith/MN vs. TB – The Bucs are tough, but no longer impenetrable.
18. Sammy Morris/BUF vs. NYJ – Riding a four game scoring streak.
19. Tyrone Wheatley/OAK vs. SD – Chargers are no longer great run stoppers.
20. Kimble Anders/KC vs. SEA – Pick a KC back, any back.
21. Dorsey Levens/GB vs. MIA – Levens is the healthiest he’s been in years.
22. Jamal Lewis/BAL vs. PIT – The rookie will have to overcome a good defense.
23. Michael Pittman/ARZ vs. NO – Saints fans no longer wearing bags over their head.
24. Rodney Thomas/TEN vs. WAS – He ain’t no Eddie George.
25. Napoleon Kaufman/OAK vs. SD – Speed kills.
26. Darnell Aurty/PHI vs. NYG – Not a lot of talent versus a good defense.
27. Jerome Bettis/PIT vs. BAL – The Bus versus the limo driver.
28. Tiki Barber/NYG vs. PHI – Giving way to Dayne.
29. Lamar Smith/MIA vs. GB – Pack has been surprisingly decent against the run.
30. Jonathan Linton/BUF vs. NYJ – Gets the “start” at halfback; big whoop.
31. Warrick Dunn/TB vs. MN – Will try to use his quickness against a quick front seven.
32. Priest Holmes/BAL vs. PIT – Has played well against Pittsburgh in the past.
33. Tony Richardson/KC vs. SEA – Another one from the committee.
34. Fred Beasley/SF vs. STL – Hasn’t scored since week three.
35. Ahman Green/GB vs. MIA – Speed should help Green this week.
36. Jermaine Fazande/SD vs. OAK – Raiders not great defensively, but Chargers are worse offensively.
37. Shawn Bryson/BUF vs. NYJ – If you throw enough of it against the wall something will stick.
38. Shaun Alexander/SEA vs. KC – Is it time to look to next year for the Seahawks?
39. Robert Holcombe/STL vs. SF – Anybody against the Niners should do okay.
40. Chris Warren/DAL vs. JAX – Has seen his role expand recently.
Wide Receiver:
1. Isaac Bruce/STL vs. SF - Ahmed Plummer vs. Bruce? Mis-match city!
2. Jimmy Smith/JAX vs. DAL - Hopefully he'll be healthy.
3. Marvin Harrison/IND vs. DET - Keyshawn got the best of Westbrook Thursday. So will Harrison.
4. Terrell Owens/SF vs. STL - Big game in store.
5. Torry Holt/STL vs. SF - Jason Webster is green as you can get.
6. Eric Moulds/BUF vs. NYJ – With 23 catches in his last two games, nobody’s hotter.
7. Randy Moss/MIN vs. TAM - He starts no matter what.
8. Tim Brown/OAK vs. SD - Chargers' pass defense should just let receivers walk into the end zone.
9. Muhsin Muhammad/CAR vs. ATL - Buchanan has fallen off this year.
10. Keyshawn Johnson/TAM vs. MIN - This is the week he returns to the endzone.
11. Derrick Alexander/KC vs. SEA - Springs hasn't been a shut down corner this year.
12. Az-zahir Hakim/STL vs. SF - Ignore the fact that he's a third receiver.
13. Donald Hayes/CAR vs. ATL - Ambrose has been a disappointment.
14. Jerry Rice/SF vs. STL - Will get plenty of looks on Sunday.
15. Sylvester Morris/KC vs. SEA - Will make Willie Williams look silly.
16. Joe Horn/NO vs. ARI - Williams has taken a lot of top receivers out this year.
17. Wayne Chrebet/NYJ vs. BUF - Bills lack a shut-down corner.
18. Johnnie Morton/DET vs. IND - Colts need Poole back. He's done well this year.
19. Jacquez Green/TAM vs. MIN - Could be too much for Robert Tate to handle.
20. Keith Poole/NO vs. ARI - Will have no trouble burning Knight. Played his college ball out in Arizona.
21. Cris Carter/MIN vs. TAM - Ronde Barber has been excellent this year.
22. Antonio Freeman/GB vs. MIA - Has the potential to get shut down by Madison.
23. Keenan McCardell/JAX vs. DAL - Should do quite well.
24. Andre Rison/OAK vs. SD - Hey, he's facing the Chargers. That's why.
25. Ike Hilliard/NYG vs. PHI - He's been twice the player Toomer has been.
26. David Boston/ARI vs. NO - Horrible matchup this week.
27. Darrell Jackson/SEA vs. KC - James Hasty should be able to jam him up good.
28. Amani Toomer/NYG vs. PHI - On the verge of getting benched.
29. Shawn Jefferson/ATL vs. CAR - Davis has really stepped up this year.
30. Frank Sanders/ARI vs. NO - He'd be a fantasy stud in another system.
31. Terrence Wilkins/IND vs. DET - Interesting play this week.
32. Kevin Johnson/CLE vs. CIN - I can't rank him higher with Couch out.
33. Travis Taylor/BAL vs. PIT - Could do well against Chad Scott.
34. Derrick Mason/TEN vs. WAS - Won't have a prayer vs. Bailey.
35. James Thrash/WAS vs. TEN - Was team's best receiver until Connell had three scores.
36. Carl Pickens/TEN vs. WAS - No guarantee to start this week.
37. Raghib Ismail/DAL vs. JAX - Can't seem to stay healthy.
38. Bill Schroeder/GB vs. MIA - Will have to be on top of his game to beat Surtain.
39. Qardy Ismail/BAL vs. PIT - DeWayne Washington hasn't been as bad as he had been in the past.
40. Charles Johnson/PHI vs. NYG - Drawing Sehorn kills his value.
41. Dedric Ward/NYJ vs. BUF - His play has really fallen off.
42. Torrance Small/PHI vs. NYG - Has a shot vs. Dave Thomas.
43. Albert Connell/WAS vs. TEN - One game, who cares, he's a d-o-g.
44. Hines Ward/PIT vs. BAL - Only start him in deep leagues. Emphasis on deep.
45. Terance Mathis/ATL vs. CAR - Doug Evans has revived his career.
46. Herman Moore/DET vs. IND - Has to have more than one reception in him.
